The theatrical play "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" has arrived on Corrientes Avenue in Buenos Aires with great fanfare. Bucket, Charlie's mother, and Sebastián Almada, who will bring the beloved grandfather of the protagonist to life, are two fundamental characters in the story who accompany little Charlie on his unforgettable visit to the factory.
The show, starring Agustín "Rada" Aristarán, presented a brief preview on the eve of the premiere this Thursday on the sidewalk of the Gran Rex theater. At the event, where the Argentine News Agency was present, the set design turned the sidewalk in the city center into a candy factory with machines, smoke, and even the aroma of cocoa. The cast staged a brief compilation of scenes that left the audience wanting more.
Willy Wonka parked on Corrientes Street and inaugurated the "chocolate factory" prior to the premiere. The production not only allowed a fragment of the historic film to be brought to the sidewalk of the iconic theater, but also, Willy Wonka - Aristarán - arrived in his classic old car, keeping the fantasy alive for those waiting for the violet suit, his characteristic haircut, and glasses: a portrayal that reached the depth of the one who embodied it.
Produced by Los Rottemberg and directed by Marcelo Caballero and Ariel del Mastro, the large-scale theatrical production combines music, dance, live performances, and spectacular stage design that can be compared to the precedents of The Little Mermaid, Matilda, and School of Rock.
The story invites the audience to enter the world of the eccentric chocolatier Willy Wonka to accompany Charlie Bucket and the five lucky golden ticket winners on an unforgettable adventure that will begin on June 4th.
